Sprint to Introduce EVDO Gagdets

PC Magazine reports that Sprint is coming out with a combo Wifi/EVDO router.

Ironically, I was talking with a co-worker earlier this week about broadband options in rural areas and were talking about various networking hacks to share the EVDO connection with all the computers in his house.

He's looking to buy a house in farm country where cable and DSL lines haven't quite reached yet.

In 2006, it's hard to contemplate life without high speed internet access.

EVDO offers broadband-esque speeds over cellular phone networks, which can cover much more ground.

Current EVDO capable phone owners in the Richmond area tell me that EVDO is here and all over town.

Needless to say, I'm shopping around for a new phone.  This one's got my attention.
