On my last flight to and from Seattle, I wore a mask on the plane.
This was early February and I was only one out of three people on the flight in a mask.
Fast forward a couple of months and that’s changed. I see people in masks everywhere.
But the question remains: are they effective?
Lex Fridman posted a video discussing latest research on masks (cloth, surgical, N95) and how they help in various transmission modes (aerosol, droplet) for source control and as PPE.
